Nope, I'm pretty sure there's not a good Italian restaurant on M.I.
But, the trattoria you are talking about is called Stella's and I
believe it's still in full operation. If not, it's owned by the same
owners as Trattoria Mitchelli (sp) in Pioneer Square, which is open all
night. A great Italian restaurant though not on M.I. or open all night,
is Gaspare's on Lake City Way and 15th NE. Their rissoto dish is to die
for but I'm not saying that it would be a good restaurant to kill your
spouse in as Bandoleone has been determined to be!! (sarcasm) But,
 Gaspare's is great. (No sarcasm)

What M.I. does have though is a great chocolate maker and store called
Oh Chocolate. Perfect for PMSing or even for gifts. Always a hit and
they will do custom orders like, for instance, double dipped caramels.
 Yummmmm.

Downtown, go to Assaggio on 4th ave (2010 I believe). Nothing there has
ever disappointed, from appetizers to tiramisu.

On the Eastside, Cafe Juanita has been legendary for nearly 20 years.

Disclaimer: I don't work for them, I do have a business affiliation -
with Assaggio and about 50 other Seattle area restaurants.

Stella's is just north of 45th, next door to the Metro theater in the U
District. Stella's is open 24 hours.

Trattoria Mitchelli (Yesler and Post Alley) is not open 24 hours, but is
 open until 4am.

The menus are very similar, except that Stella's does not have
everything that Mitchelli has (notably, no pizzas).

Salvatores - corner of Roosevelt & Ravenna. By far my favorite Italian
 dinner experience in Seattle.
