At 85th and Greenwood is one of the Maharajas [I think] which has pretty good Indian food and a fair buffet. That neighborhood is also now home to Neelam and her restaurant mid-block. My fave though is on the ave in the U district: The Spice Rack. Lakhvinder puts on a mean buffet, and if you don't see any hummos, ask for some. It's to die for. I've not seen an Indian restaurant with buffet that does not allow ordering off the menu at any time. They are usually preparing fresh refills for the buffet in back anyway, and would never turn down the chance at selling an ala carte dish or three. > Thanks
Seattle, WA
Indian food
The place mentioned is Neelam's. 85xx block on Greenwood. I highly recommend Neelam's and visit them regularly. The Nan is some of the best I've had as is the Lamb Korma. You can order a la carte during buffet hours. Jay Schneider Someone wrote: > It seems recently that people were saying the best Indian food in > Seattle was at a restaurant on Greenwood & 83 or 85? Masala is FANTASTIC. Their Butter Chicken might be the best dish ever made :) Jason Seattlejo wrote: > Have you ever been to Massala at Northgate. It, too, is excellent. > No not yet, I'll have to give them a try! > Seattlejo >
