Surely that is a reason to encourage, not discourage, a thread seeking
to pick out the worthwhile ones.

 To the original poster:

IMO, Snappy Dragon serves its own distinctive style of Chinese food.
If you like that style, it may be that more traditional Chinese food
 will not satisfy you.

 However, here are some recommendations:

Sea Garden in the I.D. (haven't tried theBellevue one), recommended
 for seafood dishes only

 Honey Court in the I.D.

And, one which opened recently and which I have found, over several
visits, to be excellent for both dinner and Dim Sum: Top Gun Seafood
Restaurant, on S. King a block and half E of Uwajimaya. Check it out.

I'd like to second Top Gun for Dim Sum. I've been there a couple of
times for the Dim Sum lunch with Asian and non-Asian friends from work.
It was suggested by one of our group who had before then touted Noble
Court as the best Dim Sum in the Seattle area. He took us because he
felt Tom Gun now equaled Noble Court. I'm no expert but it tasted great
to me and I've tried most the the Dim Sum places listed in the recent
threads including Noble Court. I encourage all the people who were
asking about Dim Sum places recently to give it a try. Their address is
 668 S. King St.
