After soliciting some net opinions, my wife and I had her b'day
dinner at B. Figueroa. Just a follow-up post.

 Yummy.

 What we ate:

 Champagne
 Duck Terrine
 Crab Napoleon
Veal Medallions with rosemary bread pudding
Lamb with garbanzo & preserved lemon .
 Baked Alaska
 Eyrie Vineyards Reserve Pinot

 with tip ~$150

Not cheap by any means, but we don't normally do the appetizer &
 dessert thing.

The food was nicely presented, meat done to a T, and the
service, while a little hovering, was delightful. The waiter
picked up on the fact that I like to pour my own wine and left
me alone. He took my jacket when I even hinted at removing it.

Some nits to pick: the crab napoleon was a little heavy on the
peppers and a little light on the wasabi mayonnaise said to be
hidden within. The garbanzo bean accompaniment to the lamb was
too salty for my tase (especially in combo with the preserved
lemons). Last nit - they've got some "Eat at Babs'" sign out
front that has got to go.

The wine list has got some great bargains. You could easily skip
the appetizers, share a salad & dessert, get a $14 wine and get
out for under $80. They will have valet parking, though we found
parking on a Mariner's night without too much difficulty.

 Just my $.02
