My favorites are the Occidental Grill and the Jockey Club. If you want a great French meal try Lion d'or. A place I haven't been to is Jean Louis, located in the Watergate Hotel. This is the only Mobile Travel Guide Five Star restaurant in Washington. Jack

Briefly in case not it is a buffet style meal where you put what you want into a bowl, spice it from setting of about 10-20 different spices and then the chef's cook it for you in about 2 minutes. Well, if that sounds interesting to you try Tony Chen's Mongolian BBQ. It's an up scale version all you can eat one and it is SUPERB. Every time I go visit my folks in DC We go there. The dress is casual but nice (slacks, collars) to dressy (suits, dresses). It is truly one of the best in the country. It is on H strteet between 6th and 7th in the heart of Chinatown.

One of the suggested restaurants was Piccollo (sp?) in Georgetown. Very nice Italian restaurant! To make it an evening, we had dessert and coffee down the street at Cafe LaRouche. Then walked down be the river and had a last drink at one of the two outdoor cafes there. You could also drop in the jazz club around the corner. It's the Blue something (Blues Alley?), anyone around there can tell you.
