I went just last week to the Powerscourt Rest. above the Dubliner Pub, just down the street from the Capital and was pleasantly surpized by the authentic Irish food and atmosphere. It's a little costly, entrees run from $16-28, but well worth it! And I can say as a vetran waitress the services is exceptionally proffesional and friendly--once you get over the Irish brough (sp?).
