Tara Thai on Rt 123 in Vienna

Someone else mentioned the new Tara Thai on Rt 123 in Vienna recently. They said that it was good food for a good price. I went there today with a friend for lunch and emphatically agree. Entrees run from $4.95 to $8.95 with most of them at $5.95. I had Panang Curry (chicken) and my friend had Gaeng Gai (green curry with chicken, bamboo shoots, Thai eggplants, and fresh basil). Both of us were well pleased with the spicing and the presentation and the serving size. The service was polite, efficient, and attentive. In Thai, the word 'tara' means 'water' (I asked) and this is reflected in their logo and their decor- ations. I give this restaurant a stong thumbs up, for, while I have been in fancier Thai restaurants in the DC area, I think their food was as good or better than the best I have tasted so far. And, they had a few unusual dishes on their menu which I have not seen in other local eateries. Bonapetit!

Cheers!
