Ruth's Criss reminds me of a Sizzler or such. Their meat is really good but the presentation is cheap. And nowhere else in the world can you get your steak served in a pan of butter.
Morton's age their meat too much for me. The most famous
steak house in the US, Berns in Tampa, does the same.
For the best steak in the Washington area, its Sam and Harrys.
Gary's does a good job too. The Prime Rib has very good meat and the best atmosphere in the area. Leave the chains for another time.

Regrettably, I've been to Bugaboo Creek (Gaithersburg) and it was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. Mediocre food, incompenent wait staff, and a hostess so surely I still think company policy to deal with long waits must be to have the hostess growl, snarl, and generally make people run the other direction.
