Rockland's BBQ in Ballston

Had dinner tonite at Rockland's BBQ in Ballston. Sat on the patio, where a single waitress was trying to handle *all* the tables. She was pleasant, but overworked. Service was glacial. Saranac Pale Ale was good, but no napkins provided with the beers. Had the BBQ pork sandwich. Good portion of meat, but no BBQ sauces offered by waitress or in evidence in the vicinity. Too bad, since meat was a little dry. Potato salad featured sliced red potatoes with skins on, but no onion and very little dressing. Cole slaw was inedible lump of coarse cabbage chunks in watery sauce with peas. (!?) To me, these side dishes appeared to have been created to
*look* good at the expense of tasting good. Far inferior to the traditional versions of both dishes. My friend's mustard greens were yummy. No desert. Total bill, with 1 beer each, was about $24.

. . . <snip>

Rockland's BBQ is in with Carpool (hoppin' happy hours, singles type bar scene - good pool), BTW - I don't normally eat there but tried it out on Friday - fast service for me (I was at the bar) Kraft BBQ sauce, cold fries, decent (cold) pork. I won't eat there again.
