I beg to differ with Steve. I live in Reston and most of the restaurants at Town Center are very good. Paolo's (the one he's talking about) is always good. Clyde's is good, plain food. Rio Grande is *always* voted one of the 100 best restaurants in the DC area. Market St. grill is uneven
- was very good, may be bad now that the chef is new (my cousin is sous-chef but he doesn't cook much anymore). Bistro Bistro is
*****BAD******. That's the only one that should be completely avoided.

I see Steve is from CA. I will say that the food in CA is so far better than what we have around here that it's easy to say "avoid this place or that". But, I can't say that as a blanket statement, and will at least stick up for some places we have in Reston that DO serve good food.

Leesburg is tough - there's not much there. The places in downtown Leesburg are pretty lousy (there *I* go generalizing). I'd say stop at Town Center and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Yikes. A Reston apologist. :)

Yep.

Clyde's is lame. They have the most apathetic staff, even by northern Virginia standards. The few times I've eaten there they have screwed up. For example, getting them to understand that you want a *rare* steak is nothing short of a miracle.

On the plus side, their bartenders do remember me. (Hmm... is that a plus?)

I don't think I'll touch that one. :) They certainly are popular, however.

Sorry to hear that; it would have been my next recommendation after Paolo's. I still like drinking there, but then, that could be because if one is in Reston one truly needs a drink.
