There are tons of other choices within minutes -- in some cases seconds
-- of Reston Town Center. Just north on Reston Parkway is the Spectrum, which has several restaurants including la Madelaine and Romano's Macaroni Grill. A bit further north on Reston Pkwy you'll come to North Point Plaza, where the highlight is Fortune, which has great dim sum.

Sorry, I accidentally sent the previous post before I was finished!

Over in Herndon, there many good choices. Many of the more interesting places are in the ethnic category, including Thai (Thai Luang, A Little Place Called Siam), Indian (Harvest of India), Japanese (Edoya, Hama Sushi), Vietnamese (Le Grille), etc. There's also a Bertucci's Pizza, Red Hot and Blue (Memphis-style barbecue), Marinelli's (old-fashioned southern Italian), etc.

Several people have given thumbs down to the Ice House Cafe.

Have fun!!

In the Herndon area, we like Thai Luang for Thai food, the Outback Steakhouse is good for steak if you are willing to wait, and Cantina d'Italia or Zifferelli's for Italian. Russia House is very good for Continental and Russian. All of the restaurants in the Reston Town Center are well regarded, but very busy. In Great Falls, Auberge Chez Francoise is very highly rated in the DC area, but reservations must be made weeks in advance for Saturday night. Other nights are easier to get in. West of Herndon, Cheng's in Sterling is quite good if you want Chinese. Enjoy your visit.
