Pizza: Greek Market & Deli on Huntington Avenue. Yes!

We've been getting pizza from the Greek Market & Deli on Huntington Avenue just south of Alexandria since shortly after they opened. In that time, their pizza has gone from great to wonderful.

This pizza is absolutely the best I've had in the DC area (and I've tried lots of pizza in my 36 years in this area). The crust is perfect. The sauce has just the right spicing and tartness. Even the toppings seem to be selected and sliced to perfection. Their pizzas are very close to the House of Pizza pizzas in the Boston area.

This place is walking distance (about 1/4 mile) from the Huntington Metro station. They have a small eat-in area, but their major trade is in delivery and carryout. Their hot sub sandwiches are also reminiscent of the hot grinders I used to get in the Boston area at the various House of Pizza places.

Yum!
