I had the opportunity to visit El Chalan the other evening. Although it was a week night and we missed the live music (played on Friday and Saturday evenings), the food was good and the service excellent. Prices for main dishes range from approx. $10 to $22 with most of the meat dishes sitting between $17 and $22. Their "special sauce" is spicy and adds zing to their superb meat dishes. El Chalan is on Eye Street just around the corner from Eye and 20th a block from Penn and across the street from the Eye Street in front of 2000 Penn and GWU.
