If you know what "mofongo" is, or are just curious and waht to try something different, then you have to check out this new restaurant in Hyattsville, MD called "El Encanto" (The Enchantment). It's located at 6521 Riggs Road. The phone # is 301-559-0200. The menu also includes: Carne guisada (beef stew), yuca con masitas de puerco (morsels of pork with yuca), Alcapurrias (grated fried plantains with meat inside), Tostones (fried plantains), Asopaos (Stews), Pasteles, they also serve the following beverages: Mavi, Ajonjoli, Melao, Tamarindo, Malta, etc. They usually have "especiales" like pernil (roasted pork), arroz con gandules, papas rellenas (potato stuffed with seasoned meat), etc.

This is the only restaurant I know of that serves Puerto Rican food. If anyone knows of any other restaurant serving Puerto Rican food, PLEASE let me know. Thanks.
