Drive to Virginia (just over the bridge and near National Airport) for Woo Lae Oak (sp?). It reported to be one of the finer Korean restaurants in the area. I know that several of the high ranking Moon executives dine there when they're in town. I love the place. Most of the clients appear to be Korean - so that appears, to me, to be a ringing endorsement. They also have restaurants in New York and Seoul Korea.

Sam Woo on Rockville Pike in Montgomery County. It's up north across from Wintergreen Plaza.

Al -

I usually eat out for lunch, so my opinions are based on lunches rather than dinners...

Yokohama Restaurant in Wheaton on Georgia Avenue between University Blvd. and Reedie Drive (west side of Georgia Ave.) has the *best* Korean lunch buffet I've seen anywhere in the metro area. It's about $7.00, and they have pulgogi as well as the other usual lunch buffet items such as sushi, cold spinach, sprouts, soup, and fried foods.

Definitely give it a try! I think they're closed Mondays, though.

I used to go to Woo Lae Oak when I lived in New York a few years ago. The food was good, but the service was not very friendly. Hope it's different here. For the person who suggested Woo Lae Oak, where in Virginia is it? Rosslyn?

It's in Pentagon City at 1500 S. Joyce St, in the River House apartment complex (on the other side of Pentagon City mall from Crystal City). There are a couple of big buildings, and it's in the flat part between them.
