Now you've got me drooling (I seem to this more and more readily these days :-). Il Pizzico ("The Pinch") is located on Frederick Road a.k.a MD Rt. 355 in north Rockville. A very nice little trattoria with a decent selection of pasta and seafood dishes. Great bread baked on the premises, I believe. The dessert selections are usually pretty nice, too. Top prices for the entrees are in the $15 region but the pasta dishes are mostly under $10 as I recall.

If you are coming north on Rt. 355, it is on the right in a small strip mall just beyond the College Plaza shopping center across the street (next to and immediately before the Exxon station on the corner of Gude Drive). Access is only from north-bound traffic, and parking is a bear - only a handful of spots up front and maybe twice as many behind the building. If you are coming from I-270, take the Shady Grove Road or I-370 exits and follow the signs to Rt. 355 south. It's about 2 miles down 355, but you will have to make a U-turn at College Parkway or further south to get to the entrance.

Expect to wait a while if you arrive after 6 to 6:30. They are closed on Sunday.

Il Pizzico has very good Italian food with above average authenticity, and is also a good value for the prices charged.
