Houston's on Wisconsin (the place where St. Elmos' Fire the movie was filmed) is always mobbed. Their food is steak/salad (great, great club salads!) and is good. There's a lot of g'twn students there. Au Pied de Cochon on Wisconsin is french (where Mary Chapin Carpenter videos have been filmed). It has ok food, and usually after the clubs let out, people go there. There's also Adams Morgan. Tons of ethnic (all good) restaurants and nightclubs there (my old hangouts when I was clubbing - Cities and Dakota). Downtown there is Planet Hollywood and also Hard Rock Cafe. In Arlington, VA and in Old Town, Alexandria there are tons of hip, trendy and cool ethnic food places to go to as well. Have fun! Tammi
The Red Sage is very good and Vidala too, Maison Blanche, Mr. Kay's. These are more pricey restaurants. But well worth it if that is what you are looking for. Oh and Le Lion Dor is out of this world! You could call once you get into town to get the price range. Have fun and hopefully you're coming at cherry blossom time :-).
