I eat relatively often at this Gringada's, and while you're right- it won't be haute cuisine in this century- I think the food deserves a beeter review than that! All of the simple standards- burrito, enchilada, chimichanga, etc are good, with large portions, good sides, and friendly staff. And definitely an inexpensive dinner that won't leave you hungry.

thanks for your time,

Again, it's a matter of taste. But if you want the opinion of a born-and-raisedCalifornian, La Gringada is aweful. It is very bland, doesn't taste at all like Mexican food is supposed to taste like. It is a midwest version of Mexican food - I can't stand it.

For great Mexican try Sierra's Grill in Calverton. Went there last night (I think we're becoming regulars!) and it was great as usual. They have an all-you-can eat special on Mon and Tues for those who are interested...
