Haven't been there, but reviews and word on the groups is that DC Coast has excellent seafood. I hear Bis is very good, but uneven. Elliott

Make your reservations early, though because it is very popular. I highly recommend the whole fried sea bass and the tower crabcake. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night, there will be a lot of noise spilling over from the bar from the cellphone-and-martini set. You may want to try for a balcony table. -- ===================== Give a man a match and he'll be warm for an hour... Set him on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
I ate at DC Coast this Sat. It was excellent. It actually exceeded my expectations. What I had or tasted that was good: Chinese smoked lobster, tuna tartare in coconut milk and passion fruit juice, lobster bisque, asparagus soup, dry pack scallops with lobster & truffled gnocchi, vanilla rubbed tuna, sides of hericot vert and cashews and truffled mashed potato. My guests seemed satisfied with the other dishes I didn't taste. We had a bottle of the Coppola chardonnay, which was a good value. Our service was excellent. BTW, I also ate Fri. at Equinox on lower Connecticut. It has been open for almost a year. It was also excellent. It features farm fresh seasonal ingredients. Very good cooking. Good service.
