Burrito Brothers <http://www.digitalcity.com/burrito/home.htm> may very well be the finest source of cheap food in the entire D.C. area--there just aren't many better ways to spend $4 than to get yourself a chicken and black bean burrito with some hot sauce. I have done this more times than I can count in the last year, as I walk by the Dupont Circle branch every day on my way home from work. They've nearly singlehandedly put a stop to my patronizing places like Boston Market; it's safe to say that the presence of Burrito Brothers has become a mandatory item in my checklist of Things I Want In a Neighborhood. Those places so graced, incidentally, are Adams Morgan, Dupont, Georgetown, Union Station, International Square (19th & K St.) and Capitol Hill--to the best of my knowledge. I know they've talked about adding locations, but I hadn't heard of any actual openings yet. But if one is about to arrive in Reston, by all means check it out ASAP. Cheers, Rob

Burrito Brothers
Let me chime in here with complete agreement. Burrito Brothers should be bronzed! One heck of a meal for the money, too. The chicken is goood...but then so is the steak, and for a great vegetarian treat it's hard to top a Spinach super burrito with black beans.
A couple summers ago, I was undergoing (this is an occasion when the
passive voice is very much in order) daily radiation treatments. It was impossibly hot and I was cranky and uncomfortable and often in lots of pain. One thing I did not want to wrestle with was cooking. Thank the universe that I happened to discover Burrito Brothers in the midst of the summer from hell.
I keep telling them they have to open a Cleveland Park branch. Feel
free to visit their web page and encourage the same...although they're decidedly worth going out of your way for.
Cheerz,
Janet

So when you see a man who's broken / Pick him up and carry him.
And when you see a woman who's broken / Put her all into your arms

We don't know what we are.

I love their food. It is tasty, the portions are large and very reasonably priced. I especially like their pork burritos. The only thing I've had that was ify was their tortilla chips which are sometimes cold and greasy. Also, FYI, it is not a very comfortable place to sit and eat, usually just stools at a counter. But the food is well worth a visit.

Friendly service, generous portions, minimal seating. Sometimes the food hasn't agreed with me as well as it might, but I've genreally been satisfied. For something similar, but a change of pace, just up from BB in Adams Morgan is Julia's Empanadas. Delicious, but you'll end up spending more per quantity of food than at Burrito Brothers. (I think the giant meal combo with two "entree" empanadas and one desert empanada plus a soda is $7.95 or $8.95.) Randy Steer.
