I avoided them for the longest time 'cause I thought their logo was really dumb looking (still do) but their product is delightful. It's rather like Boston Market, but several steps superior in terms of ambience and selection. Too bad about CPK's tenure, in that Bailey's Crossroads location - I had many enjoyable meals there.

Anybody been to Koo Koo Roo?

It's a chain, I've eaten at one several times just outside San Diego, am happy to see it here, relatively close to me. It's similar to Boston Market but I like it much more -- more variety, better food, more emphasis on healthy dishes, more cheerful setting, at least the one I've been to. I have a flyer or menu here somewhere, email me a FAX number and I'll send it to you. Or just check it out...

It has better turkey than Boston Market (you can see them carve it off the bird in front of you), and a few more side dishes. Also the seating area is a little nicer than some Boston Markets I've seen. It is hard to imagine that anyone other than the most picky eater couldn't find something they wouldn't like. Just don't go expecting a gormet meal.
