I was just at the "Inn at Little Washington" last Saturday. Real pricey and I think overrated. But it is the only **superstar** restaurant in the area. The B&O in Charlottesville is nice but I would recommend the less formal dining room. The formal room dosn't quite pull it off. The other is quite good. "Duners'" in Charlottesville is good, really casual, but quality food. The "Davis St. Ordinary" in Culpepper is suprisingly good. E-mail me if you want additional info.

Hi John,

Duners is good. Try Memory & Co for a unique & excellent meal. It used to be (maybe still is) a cooking school. They have 2 sittings for each meal and you get to chose between their 2 or so specialties for that day. You need reservations. Also, for some interesting local flavor try Big Jim's on Route 29 & Angus road.

It's been a few years so the names and/or my memory might be hazy, or things may have changed.
