Near Reston is the Serbian Crown for Russian food. Good vodkas. Red Hot and Blue is in Herdon if you like ribs. Ice House Cafe is right in *downtown* Herndon near the old train station and it's known for good Jazz and good American style food.
Try the Melting Pot in Reston. It's not expensive, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is great. RFondue might be making a comeback!
