Main, about 2 or 3 blocks south of Temple. It's the oldest restaurant in Utah. It just looks like a lunch counter from the outside, but go in and walk *way* in back to the dining room! The furnishings haven't changed since the 30's. You can get a full meal (including shrimp cocktail) for less than $15. That includes beverage and dessert!

Hi- For inexpensive, great tasting Greek/American food (for instance, the Feta Burger, and believe me the Feta weighed as much as the meat!) I'd recommend "The Other Place Restaurant". Its not fancy, but definitely a good value. They also make an outstanding Greek salad, primarily of tomatoes, cucumbers and onions and feta (no lettuce, interestingly enough). Don't let the outside appearance fool you...it looks a little scary, but is much more comfortable inside. -Chuck Kuczaj Sunnyvale, CA [email removed]

There's a "nouveau Italian" place called Confetti just a few blocks from Temple Square that was marvelous when I was there for Usenix a few years ago. The restaurant on top of the Hotel Utah was pretty good too..
There is a very good, small restaurant on 13th so. across from Liberty Park, called Park Cafe (I think). Also, the Alta Loge restaurant in Little Cottonwood canyon is good.
