Yo SpiceDudes I went to the Aakash Restuarant in Cleckheaton a couple of days ago. It's billed as 'the largest Indian restaurant in the world' and is a large converted chapel. Very nice, with Greek temple style columned entrance and all-round balcony and chandeliers inside. Must have cost a not inconsiderable packet. It was *very* quiet at 19:00 on Monday - it's new, and there's presumably plenty of cheaper competition around there - but the food was good, and a little different to the usual fare. http://www.aakashrestaurant.com/ gives details. Worth a visit IMO. Cheers

My favourite restaurant is the Hayes Tandoori, 100yds from Hayes and Harlington station, and ten minutes by bus from Heathrow. It is basically Nepalese, and I suspect with a strong Gurkha connection. The portions are enormous, easily feed two (at lunchtime anyway). And the bill for two satisfied customers is about £30. My guests have never complained!
