You might like to try Rhinefield house hotel, near Brockenhurst, details of this are in the virgin uk hotel brochure,in Christchurch about 10ish miles away you will get excellent service and an imaginative menu from Splinters in Church Street near the Cathedral. Close to Lymington is The Gordleton Mill hotel who have a restaurant called Provence,as the name suggests it has a french theme but is also quite original,I believe they have an internet site, you could try using the name in a search engine.I hope this helps...Enjoy your holiday and the food!!!

Try the Mailmans Arms at the bottom of the hill in Lyndhurst- all of the fish is great, but Norman's fish chowder is an experience not to be forgotten (make sure you're hungry). The food may not be subtle, but the flavours are wonderful.
