Not any British restaurants as such, but these suggestions come from CIX

Try 'Paris' in Horsforth for flavour, volume and value for money (French food apparently)

The Olive Tree, Rodley Lane is better than anything some folks tasted in Thassos, Thessaloniki, Kavala and Athens during their last visit to Greece. Excellent vine leaves, lamb stuffed with feta & spinach, award winning ladies, overpriced cypriot wines and excelent greek coffee

The Sheesh Mahal on Kirkstall Road seems to be everyone's fave curry house in Leeds. It's almost the owner's front room (!), with plenty of Formica table tops in evidence, but the Karahi Specials and Royal Chicken (with whisky) are mazing, and it was the first place in the UK that I found the deadly Lal Toofan too.

Tried a new (to us) Mex in Leeds - Salsa Mexicana - which was OK. Excellent dips to start including two we've never had before - hot melted cheese with raw jalapenos and onion and a bean/cheese/cream combination. Both are highly recommended.
