Yes I stayed at one a couple of years ago before the early ferry to St. Malo. It was called something like the white hart. Live music and good atmosphere. Depends on how near :) I personally used to visit the Bridge Tavern in Old Portsmouth (about 2-3 miles from Ferry port) which had a very good sea-food restaurant and served half decent beer.
