Heathcotes brasserie takes some beating. I wouldn't describe it as a sexy rendezvous, but I'm not sure whata sexy rendezvous would look like. Heathcote's is stylish, full of the smart set and the food is very good.

Depends how you go about your sexy rendezvous-ing :-)

You could go to the Yang Sing, which offers the opportunity to feed each other delicious juicy and lubricated morsels using chopsticks.

Or for old-fashioned romanticism, you'd probably not do much better than the French Restaurant at the Midland Hotel. (Paul Reid, formerly of the Chester Grosvenor, is cooking there now, and doing a fine job of it. Don't miss the bread trolley (as if you could) or the cheese trolley: marvellous.
