I have discovered the most amazing restaurant for anyone in the Pembrokeshire area of Wales. It is called 'The Farmhouse Kitchen' and while the decor is not in the London league, the food is exquisite. Just North of St Davids near a little village called Mathry. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

You are prejudiced and metropolitan; in this context the latter is far more reprehensible. I don't know 'The Farmhouse Kitchen', but it's difficult to beat the "Walnut Tree" at Llandewi Skirrid (just outside Abergavenny). Prices are stiff but at least I've always managed to get in, unlike many places in London.

Incidentally, of the dozen longest-serving restaurants in the Good Food Guide, two are in Wales and only three in London.

>Does it serve leek soup BTW? :)
Call it Vichyssoise and it turns up in the poshest places!

Cheers,
John
