Due to the fact that we have just had a baby, our going out time is now going to be limited to Lunch-Time specials at the Wok-Wok and Pizza Hut. Does anyone know of any good take-aways in South Manchester? Since the British Raj on Fog Lane changed hands, we have tried the Burnage Tandoori, Gatley Tandoori and Dial a Curry, wher we have had bad curries and poor food. The only one that is reasonable is the Jalal on Fog Lane, but even that is'nt wonderfull.

Any suggestions?

Cheers.

Seth.

There's Moon in Withington (on Wilmslow Road). They do take out I believe, but I've never taken out from there. I've had a meal there once and it was quite nice.

I usually have a kebab in naan bread (in fact I did tonight) from Fulla Flava (I think it's actually now called Eastern Flava) also on Wilmslow Road in Withington. They do various curries and stuff as well as kebabs, though I've never tried them myself. There kebabs are really nice.

Parking's not too bad around here, even on a Friday or Saturday.

Sorry I can't be any more help in terms of food quality other than 'nice kebabs' and 'quite nice roghan josh', but they are a couple of places you might try.

Chris

I have to agree that the Jalal on Fog Lane is the best available. Assuming baby = low budget, then I recommend their veggie set meal for £11.95, which feeds 4 greedy people, or 2 greedy ones for 2 nights.

Does the Kathmandu on Burton Road do takeout? I've had some reasonable meals there.
