I would hardly consider Anna's Place expensive by London standards. Dinner with the works (starter, main, wine, dessert) comes to #20-#25 a head. You can spend this for a third-rate Thai or Italian gloppy meal. Considering the top quality of the food, the lovely atmosphere and excellent service, this is a bargain and despite the full Sat evenings, Anna's Place remains a wonderful not-so-secret find. (Not taking credit cards helps reduce prices). The only gripe I have is charging for bread!
