When In Austin Texas...

Just got back from Austin.  The only steak I had was chicken fried.  Twice. Once at Threadgill's.  Once at Hoover's.  Both were outstanding.  If forced to pick, I'd probably choose Threadgills but would drive from Philly to Austin for dinner at either.

And for breakfast at Mom's Cafe in Round Rock, outside of Austin.

At the same time I'm hoping that the best steak in such a great eatin' city at Austin  isn't broiled by a national chain.
