I don't know if it is quite like "Little Italy" but it does remind me of a number of places in the Mid-Hudson Valley that I used to eat at.

The place you're looking for is Reale's. It is on the southbound side of 183 in the Ross Plaza (just south of Anderson Mill Rd).

As a transplanted Long Islander, the pizza at Reale's was so good I nearly wept. It is true New York style pizza like you'd find in New York, which is not true of places like Brick Oven or Milto's. The crust, sauce, and cheese are authentic and quite tasty.

Given all of that, I was disappointed in the quality of their other dishes which I sampled. The lasagne was particularly disappointing. So far the best lasagne I've found in town is at Spaghetti Warehouse.

There are three Italian restaurants in San Antonio that are owned an operated by transplant St. Louis Italians - Both offer St. Louis Style Pizzas which are made with "imported from St. Louis" Provel (not the same as provolone) cheese. Two are called Fratelli's http://www.fratellis.com The other is named Zingaro's http://www.zingaros.com
