We went to Basil's last night before our monthly dose of culture (the symphony). Everything was spectacular . . . the service, the wine, the bread/butter/cheese, the entrees. I had spinach/ricotta ravioli with a tomato/cheese sauce, and my wife had fettucine with spicy tomato sauce and black mussels. The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list, and even thought to ask at what time we'd like our check so that we could make it to campus on time. He recommended an Italian red wine off the new "Discoveries" part of their wine list . . . mmmm, mmmm, mmmm. Dang, that's a good restaurant. Count me in. jim andrews
