Apparently, it had closed in the summer and had just opened up under new management/ownership last Sunday. Had the buffet - pretty good @$18.95 pp. The place did not have a liquor license yet, but was able to GIVE away glasses of wine. Not sure what brand, as I don't 'imbibe'. The salad table was nice - sliced mushrooms, cucumbers, sprouts, radicchio, spring greens, spinach, yada yada yada... lottsa fresh fruit and cheese. Also available were boiled shrimp (one was partially cooked, which ended the shellfish for me!) and mussels. The entrees offered were prime rib, smoked turkey and ham. The prime rib was offered with horseradish as well as other sauces. There was some type of fish (UGH!) as well as stuffed chicken breast with goat cheese. YUM!!! Awesome desserts included pumpkin spiced cheesecake as well as triple chocolate cake (mousse and other chocolate stuff... wonderful), carrot and two cobblers - cherry and peach. The service was 'ok'. Seems to be young people - high school or fresh out. Could use a little experience under their belt, but I guess the pickins are slim in Round Rock! It was rumored that the chefs came from Barton Creek Country Club and the Four Seasons - could possibly be true. The food was awesome, the surroundings were lovely. All and all, it was a pleasant experience (would have been better SANS the mother in law... but that is another newsgroup!). Try it sometime! [email removed]
