You might want to try Boudro's; I liked it quite a bit. Mostly seafood; prices didn't seem too high. Good drinks, too. It seemed a lot more classy than most Riverwalk establishments. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Planet Hollywood and similar places -- they concentrate on creating an "entertainment experience" rather than food. And they're loud and crowded. Not at all romantic. I can second the vote for Casa Rio, too. It was pretty good and not at all expensive.

That was at Casa Rio, one of the oldest places there I understand, but which I found good, despite it's almost nonexistant restrictive diet selections on the menu. But like you said, sometimes you just gotta........... Aje RavenStar

Not at all romantic. I second Boudro's! It's everything you said plus you don't see too many little kids in there. A plus for me if you are talking about romantic getaways without the jawas. Now that my kids are older (14 and 7), the last thing I want to sit next to are babys and preschoolers; been there, done that, don't want to do it again!
