I went to eat at La Posada on Saturday night. It is in the same shopping center as the West Gate HEB. I ordered my standard judgment food, cheese enchilidas. You get three enchilidas, rice, and beans for $5.25. Which is incredible in this town. The beans and rice were execellent. The enchilida sauce was good also, more San Antonio style instead of the heavy Chuy's style sauces I'm used to getting here in Austin. However there was one problem. The cheese they used, which they were very generous with, was it was "overprocessed". I would say it was somewhere inbetween cheddar and Velveeta. Not quite Velveeta, but more velveeta than regular cheddar (if that makes any sense). I have mixed feelings about the place. The price was good, the serving was generous, but the cheese was suspect. I wanted to go across the parking lot to HEB, buy them some cheddar and tell them to use it. So while La Posada beats Su Casa and Curra's price wise, the food wasnt as good. I will say that my companion really enjoyed what she was having, some sort of chicken and avocado dish. If I was looking for good cheese enchilidas, (and who isnt) I would go to Su Casa, Curra's, or El Patio before I went to La Posada, but maybe I caught this place on an unusual night. James

E y M has one of those heavy, meaty sauces which are almost another meal unto themselves. Another thing I forgot to mention was that La Posada had excellent tortillas which appeared homemade. As far as the cheese issue is concerned, I like American cheese (Enchildas y Mas) on hamburgers and sandwiches, but give me cheddar or monterray jack on enchildas. James
