Thanks to people who gave suggestions for cheap romantic restaurant. This guy likes Thai, so I decided to give PooThai a try. I liked the waitstaff and the prices, but wasn't that impressed with the food. The satay (mixed pork and chicken) was just okay (hey, all of this email seems to be rhyming-)-- small portion, the pork a little greasy and the chicken a little tough. The eggrolls were small and kind of greasy too. I had pork larb and it did taste great- I've never had larb before so I have nothing to compare it to, but yum-- a large portion, full of onions and cilantro. The guy had sweet and sour chicken and it seemed kinda gloppy to me. In short-- I'm glad we tried it and it was fun getting a little out of town, but I still haven't found anything here to compare to some great Thai restaurants in San Francisco...
