Little Thailand is indeed a restaurant (not a Buddhist temple), and it relocated to 71 farther east, past the turnoff that you mention (to the Travis Correctional facility). There is also a Thai-Lao-Cambodian Buddhist temple not far from the old Little Thailand restaurant on Linden Rd. They frequently have festivals there as well as a market every other Saturday, and real Thai food is always for sale. It could be the place to get the most authentic Thai food in Austin!

The temple is called Wat Buddhananachat. Take a drive out there some Saturday for market day.
