The good news is that their menu now looks like it did in the old Merriltown location. The bad news is that the prices are still a lot higher than they were in the old location and the portion sizes have shrunk. I started my meal out with a cup of seafood gumbo. They really do mean cup now (not the bowl-sized cup they used to have). The gumbo was ok -- not a lot of seafood in it, so there's a lot more liquid and rice than there used to be. But it wasn't worth $6.95. I then had the blackened tilapia with sauteed shrimp. The piece of fish was slightly smaller than what I remembered but not much smaller. It was pretty bland, though. Although I still had room for dessert (something that I rarely had in the old place), I decided against it because I knew that the bill would be hefty as it was. My bill came out to a little over $27 (for 1 bottle of Dixie, 1 cup of seafood gumbo and the blackened tilapia). Conclusion: the food portions were not big enough nor tasty enough to pay that kind of price again. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Jim Lahue | Disclaimer: All expressed [email removed] | views are mine alone and not RS/6000 Division, IBM Corp | necessarily shared by IBM
