I'm quite fond of Cafe Java, 11900 Metric. Good Eats Cafe also does pretty good breakfasts, but I've found the service at the one on Burnet (speaking of which, is there any other Good Eats Cafe now?) lacking the last couple of times I've been there. Trudy's has a pretty decent breakfast buffet, too. ==Dwight

What about Dan's Hamburgers on Manchaca? They're Huevos Rancheros is great, their sauce is INTENSE but very good. My personal favorites: Magnolia Cafe on Lake Austin Blvd. or S. Congress The Omelettry on Burnet and 51st Joe's Bakery on E. 5th. Their coffee is murder, but they have *fantastic* empanadas. ****** Clay Colwell (aka StealthSmurf) ********** [email removed] ****** * "In the future, we will recognize software crashes as technologically * * mandated ergonomic rest breaks - and we will pay extra for them." * * -- Crazy Uncle Joe Hannibal *
