Just wanted to let everyone know that my best dim sum dining experience in Austin was this past weekend at Twin Dragon Restaurant.

You can check out their menu, as well as other popular local Vietnamese restaurants' menu online, at http://vietaustin.com.

Thanks.

I was surprised at how not so awfully expensive it turned out to be. I guess if you like most food, you'll do better than if you don't, as you don't wind up wasting $2.95 each time you sample something. On the other hand, you're not wasting $8.95 on an entree it turns out you don't like, either. Go with a lot of people so you can share out what you don't like and try theirs, and eventually you'll be familiar enough with all those little round things that you'll know what to get.

The last time I went to Tien Hong, we stuffed ourselves, took a lot home, and spent well under $30 (might even have been under $25) for two people who like to eat. It may sound expensive for "chinese food" but this ain't no beef and broccoli. I spent $15 for myself at Threadgill's the other night and I like dim sum a whole lot better.
