Hello Everyone,

Last night I was able to get in to the new Star Canyon restaurant in Dallas. There is usually a six week waiting list but I found out that if you call there at three o'clock in the afternoon, they can sometimes slip you in when someone cancels. It was absolutely the best food I've ever eaten. Sort of Southwestern cuisine. (I don't know what they officially call it). The atmosphere is wonderfull with really attentive waiters. Soft lighting that makes everyone look good! Chef Stephen Pyles used to run the Routh Street Cafe before opening this restaurant. This place was pricey but not outrageous. Two of us each ate an appetizer, main course, dessert, two glasses of wine and coffee. It ended up costing $112.00, tip included. It was relaxed, not rushed and I ended up feeling full but not bloated. Give it a try, it is really worth the money if you want good food and a romantic evening. The food is almost too pretty to eat!
