We used to frequent Chelo Kebab when it was part of Cheesy's Pizza on N. Lamar. Now it has moved to the food court of Northcross Mall, and is part of the taco stand there. Strongly recommended, particularly if your looking for something different. Most of the menu is kebabs: chicken, steak or ground beef, served with an enormous pile of fluffy basmati rice (saffroned and with a pat of butter you can add), grilled tomatos, a huge round flatbread, and a small plate of feta cheese and greens (parsley, scallions) and part of a white onion. There are other intriguing things on the menu, but most are only offered on a particular day of the week. Oh, and the dinner comes with a small plastic container of ground reddish stuff that you are supposed to sprinkle on your rice. It is sumac, of all things. Rick Saenz
