There's a new Middle Eastern cafe on the U.T. drag that beats "would-be Middle Eastern pretender" Ararat hands down. It's called Cafe Kismet. The fare is reasonable and the flavor is authentic Middle Eastern. Take it for someone who lived and grew up in the Middle East. Try the chicken shawarma and the tabouli for a starter.
