I ate a very fine steak at the Texas Land & Cattle Co. out north on I-35 a couple of years ago. Unfortunately I can't recommend them because they opened up two places here in San Antonio and they are somewhat less than great.
Austin, TX
Best steak in Austin Tx?
Dan McCluskey's used to be very good. Others used to say that Ruth Cris' was good too. But I haven't been to either in a few years. Clark

Ray Steakhouse (in the old Ruth's Chris location on Guadalupe) Don't know... might be the same type of deal Also just for fun,I like UR Cooks, (Corner of Hwy 183 and Burnet Rd, behind the Olive Garden and Bowling Alley buildings) If you don't mind cookin' it yerself, it can be pretty fun and cheaper than the ones listed above. Dan Mc Kluskey's is good, and the Texas Land and Cattle Company is middle of the road. Try posting in austin.food too, you will probably get some other suggestions from my neighbors.... And since you mentioned it, I think I'll head on over to Chuy's for a number 2 enchilada plate.... Good luck, report back and let us know!
