You know that "the best" of anything, especially barbeque is a very personal thing. Now, I am not a big fan of the Goode Company Barbeque. Many people are. I guess I just must be missing something when I go there. To me the "best" ribs in Houston by far, are at "Houston's Restaurant." You can find Houston's in about 4 or 5 locations around the city.

Another good barbeque restaurant is Dometries (sp ??), located on Hempstead Highway just west of the loop 610 at highway 290. It is in the parking lot of a mall.

In my opinion, those are the two best barbeque places in Houston. Good luck, and enjoy. AVID T. wrote in message ...

I've always been partial to Joe's BBQ on Hwy 6 in Alvin. Fri/Sat/Sun they used to have an all-you-can-eat beef ribs special for less than $10. I believe that everything's smoked over mesquite for at least 24 hours prior to serving, and they always had a good cobbler (peach/blueberry/apple) with ice cream available for dessert.
