My husband and I vote for Stubbs. Since we live in Colorado, we've only been there once, but my husband's still talking about it over a year later. He especially loved the ribs, and as he'll tell you he's pretty picky about ribs. We had to have my brother (the Austinite) ship us some of Stubbs' rub, mopping and bbq sauces, so that we could attempt to reproduce their bbq at home.

There are a number of good places in Austin... Stubbs BBQ, Ironworks, etc. BUT, If you want exceptional BBQ I recommend making a trip to the hill country to Cooper's in Llano Texas. The taste of their brisket will bring you to your knees. Incredible stuff!
