If you go south of Nashville on HWY 65 to Franklin TN there is a great place called   "The Bunganut Pig"--a cozy English Pub atmosphere (boars heads on the walls, fireplace, etc.) good food, & live entertainment on the weekends (some week days as well).

 What about "The Orchid" on White bridge rd ? They serve Thai food, and the atmosphere is quiet and elegant.  The food is fantasic!! An absolute gastronomical delight. And if you like your food spicy hot, they have sauces there that will have you running home to your mama with your tail tucked between your legs!
